RESULT OF PUBLIC CONSULTATION HELD ON 13TH OCTOBER 2024

The public consultation to determine residents priorities for spending Community Infrastructure and Section 106 monies resulted in a total of 53 adults and children coming forward to give their ideas.

The overwhelming majority felt that a bus shelter by the telephone exchange on Exmouth Road was the most important, followed by the addition of netball hoops and goal nets in the playpark.

At the Parish Council meeting on the 11th November, it was agreed to progress with the bus shelter project.  The first step will be to obtain the various permissions required and agree costings.

Postscript:  British Telecom who own the area of land by the bus stop have refused permission for a shelter to be erected.  The Parish Council is looking into alternative solutions.
